Two iconic brands of European origin collided in late 2019 for an astounding collaboration that might have set a new bar for future projects between the realms of luxury and sportswear. Sure there was that atmos "Glow Snake" version, but that's a route we've seen them take a couple of times before so it wasn't exactly a mind blower when it showed up. What might blow your mind though is this version of the shoe, known as the adidas Originals Superstar 80s Cage, that encases the sneakers in some extra support struts on the side panels.
