For the upcoming season, MARC is converting the G-Jet class over to slip-on tires, specifically the double flanged rim (BSRT #879) and G-Jet Silicone tires (BSRT #880) with the overall diameter requirement unchanged from previous years(minimum – 0.450"). Unfortunately, the first batch of rims produced by Scale Auto were slightly under-sized yielding an overall diameter of only 0.447". Rather than require everyone to buy new rims, we're allowing the use of tape to build up the diameter of the rim to bring the assembly up to snuff.

Rumors are that Gary might be bringing pre-cut tape to the US G-Jet GP that will bring the older rims up to spec. However, since the first MARC race is the week prior to the GP, please add your own tape before leaving home; I can see tech inspection being a real nightmare otherwise…

We survived. Having the tape available was great. Thanks Paul.
Hopefully the current production will not require it.
