Shawn Kemp’s sophomore signature sneaker, the reebok classic high tops, returns this week for its 25th anniversary. While today’s generation of sneakerheads likely weren’t even born when Kemp was tearing up the court, many OGs will remember 1995 like it was just yesterday. This retro will surely bring back a lot of memories.Reebok have essentially created a one-for-one remake of the distinct two-toned baller, opting for its original black and white look. The new balance outlet has yet to see the wide availability of the brand’s other footwear products, but it continues to emerge in colorways sure to find favor among the masses. Case in point: a navy ensemble with light grey accents. Unlike the majority of both collaborative and solo efforts, New Balance‘s forthcoming retro-inspired release features a tonal upper. Enlarged “N” logos on the lateral sidewalls, however, interrupt the navy arrangement in a light grey hue reminiscent of the original, Steve Jobs-approved New Balance 992. Tongue labels and EVA midsoles further indulge in the simple grey makeup, though the former boasts bright blue vintage “NB” branding.
